Fireboy, Omah Lay and Sha Sha Spotted on a Billboard in Times Square, New York

 


A billboard with the faces of Nigerian new-age acts, Omah Lay, Fireboy DML and Zimbabwean singer, Sha Sha, has been spotted overlooking Times Square in New York City, America. 

The billboard is part of the campaign for Pandora's Africa's Next radio mode hosted by Notjustok which will spotlight the new generation of African Artists such as Fireboy DML, Omah Lay, Sha Sha, Gyakie, Chike, and Others.

Omah Lay is the foremost Nigerian breakout act of 2020 with his debut EP, Get Layd, topping multiple charts for several weeks. Fireboy DML sits on a two-project strong discography that has been critically acclaimed and awarded multiple times. While Sha Sha has made a name for herself as the Queen of Amapiano. 

These acts join the likes of Tems, Tiwa Savage and Adekunle Gold whose faces have graced international billboards in recent times.

Lyta begs Olamide to return to YBNL

  Nigerian singer Opeyemi Rahim , popularly known as Lyta, has expressed his desire to return to his former record label, YBNL Nation . Featuring in the Ginger Yourself Podcast, Lyta explained that he didn’t leave YBNL “intentionally.” He said, “I want to be back with YBNL, what I did back then [leaving YBNL Nation ] wasn’t intentional. I didn’t hear from Olamide before leaving and after I left, he just locked up. But I’ve spoken to him since leaving. I chatted with him via Instagram on his birthday and he responded.” Asked if Olamide is following him on Instagram, the ‘ Monalisa ’ crooner said, “No. He is not following anybody on Instagram.” Lyta left YBNL Nation in 2019 after falling out with the record label boss, Olamide He disclosed in an interview in 2022 that he left YBNL Nation because he “heard a lot of things from friends and people in the industry.” He added that he “didn’t know who or what to believe and some people eventually got into my head.” Express ur Feelings...
