  Sanwo-Olu Unveils Ikeja Flyover  The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday, unveiled the Ikeja flyover bridge, which is part of the state's Red Line Rail project.  Sanwo-Olu was joined by the Governor  of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq; and the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa; among others.  In a tweet on his official X handle on Tuesday, Sanwo-Olu wrote , "Today, we inaugurated the Ikeja Flyover, a key component of the Red Line Rail Project.   JUSTICE FOR MOHBAD Darosha Losobeh, a cousin and personal assistant to the late singer, Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has refuted accusations of breaking the deceased’s neck. A circulating video suggested that Losobeh broke Mohbad’s neck to fit him into the casket used for his burial. Mohbad allegedly died of ear infection on September 12, 2023, at 27, and his death has since sparked controversy, with many Nigerians calling for justice for his sudden demise, leading to the arrest of his former boss, Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley and Samson Balogun aka Sam Larry. The duo who were allegedly arrested for bullying the late singer had been released. Subsequently, a nurse who attended to him and his childhood friend, Primeboy, were identified as primary suspects in his demise. Responding to the allegations regarding the neck, Darosha denied the claims. In a post via his Instagram story, he expressed distress over the impact of these accusations on his mental well-being....

  Nigerian singer Opeyemi Rahim , popularly known as Lyta, has expressed his desire to return to his former record label, YBNL Nation . Featuring in the Ginger Yourself Podcast, Lyta explained that he didn’t leave YBNL “intentionally.” He said, “I want to be back with YBNL, what I did back then [leaving YBNL Nation ] wasn’t intentional. I didn’t hear from Olamide before leaving and after I left, he just locked up. But I’ve spoken to him since leaving.   Abakaliki Rice Mill Owners Industry Association, in collaboration with the Ebonyi government, has begun distribution of genuine bushel for measuring rice, following the ban on the use of scaling machines. Chairman of the association, Linus Obeji , spoke at the inauguration of the approved bushel in Abakaliki, yesterday. He said that the new measuring device was in line with the association’s move to sanitise the mill against fraud. Obeji noted that a task force had been set up to check and monitor all shops in the market to ensure compliance with the newly-introduced genuine bushel. He said that the millers would punish any defaulter, urging all members to strictly adhere to the new order to boost sales. “Yes, we acquired genuine market bushels for measuring rice in the market to checkmate fraudulent acts.   Burna Boy, Wizkid, And Davido To Headline Lost In Riddim Festival The two-day festival features Afrobeats, R&B, dancehall, and reggae music, celebrating the beauty of African and Black culture. Lost In Riddim has announced its return with an all-star lineup and new location. The Afrobeats-focused music festival is set to take place from October 1 through October 2 at Lake Cunningham Park in San Jose, Calif. Previously, the event had been held in Sacramento. The city was chosen for its larger venue, as well as its availability of more transportation and housing options for out-of-town travelers. The outdoor event will feature two main stages and non-overlapping performances. A third and much more intimate tent stage will host daylong DJ sets.
